Fibre Channel Switch Requirements

This chapter provides configuration information for the internal Fibre Channel Switch (FCSW)

application for the UltraNet Edge 3000, the certified models of McDATA, Cisco, and Brocade

Fibre Channel switches, and the supported configurations and configuration requirements for the

Brocade Multiprotocol Router.

Note: When the UltraNet Edge 3000 is configured for F_port, it uses the internal Fibre

Channel Switch (FCSW) application and eliminates the need for an external Fibre Channel

switch.

Supported UltraNet Edge Configurations

Table 2-1 provides the supported configurations for the UltraNet Edge 3000 Series.
